The Kiss That Never Ends

Blood-red lips sweet like crystalline candied drops
of sugary seduction hanging from a plum tree
plump with passion and words like diamonds
that shine bright, cut sharp in the same sentence

She rolls them in and out her mouth, licking wet
thoughts in her head, bottom lip slightly open
moments make her bite a corner, gaze to sky
thinking of him her mouth moistens, lips wish

For just one taste…his on hers, to memorize
the feeling, to cauterize his bleeding heart
with her insatiable lust, her lips sealing the deal
sending an electric shock from her core to his

In dark of earth’s nocturnal turn, door unlocked…
her dreams taking her far away to another realm
where nothing earthly exists but pairs of lips
she strips to bare skin, sleep tempting saccharine

Spirits to meet, once in dream, once in flesh
the door creaks open, steps slip past threshold
he leans over her sprawled soft-breathing soul
her mouth sleeping silent, her heart pounding

He sets his lips softly, slowly, sweetly on hers
feels her breath stop, his releases with a sigh
instinctually she rolls under him with a deep draw
before her eyes open, in her dream, she sees

Him there.

He is there…

Her eyes crack open, take him in, swooning disbelief
his head cradled in her hot hands, pulling toward her
deeper…deeper, her bated breath returns with a rush
an exhale to rival the winter mountains galing winds

Locking tongues like lost lovers in finally reuniting
bodies collide in the night, shooting sparks to starry sky
slowly…long, tender…strong, passionate partaking

the kiss that never ends, it travels to every crevice

Every hidden corner of her…eyelids, ears, neck
lingering low under her hips, along secret lines
pausing to suck here, there, teasing her moans
until she’s back in her dream,

a living one…

climactically peaked

  3. Em,

This poem amazes me with its blissful passion and deeply felt eroticism that steers clear of typical tropes. These lines are stunningly beautiful to me:

Locking tongues like lost lovers in finally reuniting
bodies collide in the night, shooting sparks to starry sky
    slowly…long, tender…strong, passionate partaking

the kiss that never ends, it travels to every crevice

    Just all in all… WOW.

It is one of those poems I want to save and when the quiet morning arrives for my writing, let the ideas inspire something of my own that could be in its family.

    Really well done.

      1. Yes, this feeling I know very well. As I reread my many years of writing, I have come across many poems saying “I wrote that?” It is good to take the time, I think, to explore others’ back catalog on here even if it forces me away from the reader which tends to force this into a Facebook feed, which is what I escaped when I started my own blog. These are little nuggets of meaning that should be revisited.
