I seem to have accidentally become a full time writer…

So this is what it’s like.

      1. You may want to check and fix it in your settings because it says musawverrafsan.wordpress.com, and so when your name is in my comments and I click there, it goes to a dead page. πŸ™‚ And now your link works, thank you, I will look forward to reading it.

  1. I feel that way, too… but it doesn’t pay the bills. (Damn.) Not yet anyway. I sometimes begin to feel like I’m approaching burnout… so I ease up a bit — spend more time doing other things for a while. (I have children! and a husband! and a home! They need me…). And I try to limit posting to 1 or 2 per day so I don’t feel pressure to get a post ready if I want to watch Netflix or sleep or do other bedroom activities. Of course, the little break does not last. Writing is my addiction (well one of them anyway…). So yeah… I give myself a little break when I try to step back… even if it is a failure. πŸ™‚

And maybe you didn’t mean anything like this when you made this post and I’m babbling for nothing. Addiction in action!

    1. Yes, I hear you on all of that!! Super important to balance life…family…breaks. I’m still figuring that all out. I think it takes daily mindfulness… I’m sure I’ll have to pause here and there for sanity’s sake. πŸ˜‰ ❀

  2. It’s a pretty cool thing: full time writing! As I was reading Sandra’s comment I was thinking of how important it is to treat it like a job. A really, really fun job but you don’t “work” at your job all the time so breaks are important. You need to refresh and recharge your creative juices! πŸ˜ƒ But, welcome to this crazy writing life! ❀️

    1. Yes, I was just thinking that same thing. It’s like I need to set hours. But, then my ideas come 24 hours a day and sometimes even wake me up at night in dreams. It’s a bit all-consuming when you finally embrace it! πŸ™‚

    1. Terribly kind of you! I could never claim perfection or even near it, however. Always learning πŸ˜‰ But, thanks from the whole of my heart for the lovely thought! πŸ™πŸΌ

      1. Love this.

        Your words fly
        With their weight
        Lay impressions upon my heart
        My soul
        Leaving imprints of delicate phrases
        and silken words
        Dressed in negligee
        Or how I picture them

In dark rooms, tempting and drawing me in.

      2. my words fly to hearts near and dear
searching to land without any fear
        just warmth and compassion
        and sometimes titillation
        to impact the soul
        in lasting fashion
        an honor to write
and an honor to be read
        by kind loving souls
        from Seattle to England
        I’m grateful for them landing
on your eyes, even if I can’t land
        there myself…yet…

      3. The future holds too much to know
        So much can change
Over the course of a life
If we knew the paths to take
        Would we take them
        Or find new ones
        To stake out
        Our own destinies
To find hearts and link them to our own

    1. I was just thinking that I missed you. Thanks for the love. Sending some back your way. ❀ And for the record, I had no intentions of more than a handful of people reading my writing, if that…as I said…so this is all foreign and rather shocking territory!
