Pinky Swear

Just as I belong to no one
you do not belong to me

We walk aside each other

But near enough to hold
strong enough to support

Through the mire
the brambles, the barbed wire

I’ll be within reach
hoping you are within reach

That when I falter
…you catch my fall

And that when you waver
…I’ll be unwavering

For this, for us

for we

are worth

this pinky swear

      1. Not out of the woods yet. Each day is a different story. But trying my best. I’ve had a migraine all week, which I don’t usually get along with the vertigo, so that’s interesting. Today is a little more manageable. We shall see what tomorrow brings. Thanks, V. 🙂 ❤

      2. Oh, honey, I’m sorry you still feel so bad. A week of migraines is so shitty. 😦 I’m glad today is at least a little better. Hugs! ❤

      3. Thanks, Vic. At some point, it has to go away. That’s what keeps me going… Having the migraines kick in with actual pain while I have this vertigo is a good thing in a way that it is more evidence that all of this is migraine based. I already knew. The stress of my father’s health news on top of trying to recover from my own vertigo just tipped my bucket over the top. I may ask about migraine meds next week. Hugs back! ❤

      4. I hope you get what you need and can rest easier. And walk without being dizzy. It’s never lasted more than a couple days for me. I can’t even imagine so long. 😕
