My heart has a vacancy
void of all, transparency
cleared of loves and plain
to see, nothing left of me
where once steamed heat
cold resides
left alone to ponder asides
of whys and who and when
my home of heart
will be occupied

my soul’s house is open
door left ajar
no one has come from near
or far, to visit me here
this place dear
the silence of your absence
screams ringing in my ears

lonelier than the lonely ones,
who have known love that’s left…

for once touched by passion,
by the light of sun’s day,
by a being unmatched,
only kindled in your flame,

all else is dry ice…
fogged deceptive
pseudo truth

I’ll sit here

if it means
when I am not,

it is because

you are here.

This was a request for “loneliness” by Tarandeep at Seeking Truth.  I think we all have been here, past or present.  I know I relate.  Hope you like it, Tarandeep. 🙂

  1. Eloquent and tinged with dusty remnants but a hopeful ending. Would you consider adding your talents to this project?

We have 100 contributions to date, and I am trying again to rope in as many contributors to the Poets for Peace challenge (in place until this the end of August). The many voices in response to this have been fantastic, and I’d love you to add yours (again, if applicable) if you can. Feel free to use an existing piece of writing or a new one asking for peace and/or about the troubled times in which we live.

If you are interested, please leave your poem in the comments section of Neha’s bog and it will be added.

    Thank you –
    Your voice matters.

  2. Catching up again and I noticed by reading your poetry..Em is getting better (health wise) again, Yippee!
Don’t have to remind you, but just to be sure; don’t overdue it, step by step dear 😉
    Big hug! XxX
