Just Because

just because it makes you uncomfortable

just because you don’t understand the answer

just because it challenges your perception

just because it’s not what you were taught

just because it’s an outlook you’ve never seen

just because it makes you ponder this life

just because it does not subscribe to rules

just because you can’t win the argument

just because my life is different than yours

just because judgment is so much easier

doesn’t make it a lie

doesn’t make it wrong

doesn’t make it a sin

doesn’t make you better

doesn’t make me worse

it makes me me

it makes you you

****

Dedicated to all those in the world who do not live in the mainstream and choose to question doctrines that attempt to classify people in ways humans cannot be classified. Be your own thinker, always resist being fed ideas for the sake of their convenience in labelling and controlling their interpretation of morality and influencing the masses.

What works for me, may not work for you, and vice versa. There is no judgment. There are only your truths derived from personal experience.  Don’t try to change me, I won’t try to change you.

  1. Wow! Your poem is absolutely Fantastic!!! You should really frame that or make it into a poster, really!!

This was so fun to read. I can close my eyes and see this in 3D color on the screen in my mind and hear me yelling – “You go Girl”!!! This sounds like the perfect script for every girl with a “not so bright” guy. Loved it, Loved it!!! And thanks for visiting me.
