I lost

you somewhere

and you had just arrived

tremoring inside my warm core

leaving your trail, your scent

cells that forever embed

joining together



body still, 

still infrared flared

your palm outlines still there

lips left their signature print planted

now absent in all but colored array

you’ve up and gone away

my breath responds



ghostly glimpse

your love came and went

a vision embodied for a brief moment

physical apparition breaking the firmament

to feel a fleeting collision, an imprint

that can now only be seen

by eyes that I

don’t have
